Our story
& our people

Contemporary Portuguese-inspired breakfast and modern Portuguese lunch are the showcase — familiar flavours made new and exciting.

Portuguese influence

Flavours
of Portugal

Lunas opened in late 2022, created by Jose and Basia Silva and named after their daughter, Luna. Contemporary Portuguese-inspired breakfast and modern Portuguese lunch are the showcase - familiar flavours made new and exciting.

Our kitchen draws on the flavours of Portugal — pastéis de bacalhau, flame-grilled chouriço, piri piri spatchcock, espetada and pudim. Every dish is made to be shared, the way we believe food should be.

Lunas belongs to the same family behind Sweet Belem, Fich@Petersham and Bibo Wine Bar, with head chef Carlos Bacalhau in the kitchen.

Food & Hospitality

Generous plates
& a genuine welcome

We believe in generous plates, unhurried meals and a genuine welcome. Whether you're here for a morning coffee or a long celebration, you're part of the Lunas table.

Our space

At the heart of Lunas...

At the heart of Lunas is our vine-covered courtyard — a retractable roof, outdoor heaters, a garden of herbs and veggies, and room for the whole family (pets included). It's where our regulars linger over lunch and where our events come to life.

Petersham / Community

A place to celebrate
& come back to

We're proud to call Petersham home. On Stanmore Road in Sydney's Inner West, we love being a local spot for the neighbourhood — a place to gather, celebrate and come back to.
